Gerneral instructions- Prior to burning your candle, trim the wick at least ¼ inch. - Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. - Never leave a burning candle unattended or lit while sleeping. - Blow out flame to extinguish. - Keep lid on candle when not in use to keep scent. - Burn for at least 1 hour to avoid tunneling.
-
Help my candle is making popping sounds!Wood wick candles are known to create a popping, crackling sound. This is perfectly normal & creates a bit of an ambience. Enjoy!
-
My candle has frosting (white coating) or has separated from the vessel:This is normal due to the natural nature of soy wax that we use for our candles. Certain factors such as the room temperature the candle sits in or the vessel it's in can create a seperation of the wax to jar. However, this will NOT affect how your candle burns or it's hot throw.
-
My candle is tunneling down the center:The first burn in particular is critical! Candles have a memory pool so the first time you light it, make sure to let it burn for at least one hour. This will allow the wax to melt evenly all the way out to the edges of the container. This will ensure that when your wax cools, the surface of the candle will remain even. This is very important because wax has a memory which means it will only melt through its last cooling point. A fix for tunneling is simply done by removing some of the surrounding wax to help the candle melt fully to its edges.
-
My candle flame is too large:We want you to get lit - safely of course. You must trim the wick of your candle to 1/4 inch prior to each burn. A flame that is too high has a couple of drawbacks. First, it’s not aesthetically pleasing and you may be losing precious burn time. But most importantly it may become a fire hazard and must be extinguished immediately. So please remember to trim your wick and get lit responsibly.
-
My candle is smoking:Have you placed your candle near a draft? If your candle is smoking, a simple fix is to move your candle away from any fans, open windows or doors, air conditioners, and vents. This will ensure a smooth burn and limit smoking. Also, remeber to trim your candle wick 1/4 inch prior to each burn.
